Welcome to Rolfing® Yorkshire, offering Rolfing, Somatics and Massage Therapy sessions in the Leeds and Harrogate area.

Rolfing Structural Integration

Rolfing is a system of hands-on physical therapy designed to align, release and integrate the soft tissues of the body for greater ease of movement, posture and improvements in wellbeing.

Rolfing features a series of sessions which seek to cumulatively improve your sense of physical awareness and stability. We believe that by improving the way you use and relate to your body, it will not only help to reduce stress and tension-related injury, but will also improve your overall quality of life.

"I came to experience the sense of standing taller, breathing, being more open, being in touch with my younger and stronger self, without effort"

"After the first treatment I felt I could breathe more easily and I had a sense of length and openness in my body."

"Throughout the 10 sessions I became aware of how my body was a whole integrated system not just arms, legs and a body."

"After one session, my feet felt like hands, there was so much differentiation in their sensations and movements"

"By the 3rd session I was feeling much much better and by the 7th session I felt that I had gained back the full control over my body and mind."

"Rolfing significantly eased some long-held alignment and movement patterns in my body, giving me greater length and feeling through my spine..."

"I found the Rolfing programme very helpful and insightful and am continuing to benefit from it."

Somatics and Massage

We also offer the following therapies:

Somatic Movement Education is a system of neuromuscular movement education which teaches us to recognise and release chronic tensional patterns and learn to move more efficiently. Somatics is available in small group classes, workshops and on a one-to-one basis.

Massage therapy uses a variety of techniques which can work locally or on the whole body to release stress and tension, and to aid recovery from injury. Sports massage therapy, Thai Yoga massage and myofascial release sessions are now available.
