Thai Yoga Massage
In Thai Yoga Massage you will be taken through a series of deep muscular stretches and massages to release tension, improve flexibility and provide a feeling of deep relaxation. Thai massage is sometimes called Lazy Man's Yoga, due to the interesting and unusual stretching techniques which go deep into the core of the body. The treatment is good for loosening tight inflexible muscles and releasing tension, leading to a feeling of lengthening and relaxation within the body after treatment.
The treatment can be firm or gentle, and can accommodate specific problems such as injuries. Thai massage treatments can be 60 or 90 minutes in length.
Thai Massage Styles
There are different schools of Thai massage which have specific variations. The Bangkok and southern style tends to include more emphasis on pressure points and 'sen' lines (energy meridians), and the Northern style includes more emphasis on deep stretching. During my time in Thailand I was lucky enough to train in a number of schools to learn a range of different techniques in both types of treatment.
